Committee Information for 2008-2009

Members-at-Large / EANA Liaisons (as per EANA Policies Handbook)

A liaison between the membership and the executive board. Issues resulting from building committees that have not been satisfactorily resolved at the building level are brought to the appropriate Member-At-Large for review / consultation.  The Member-At-Large determines (along with the particular building rep) whether to bring it to the attention of the executive board for further action. Members-at-Large also hold monthly meetings with the district Superintendent to discuss and resolve issues affecting members.  Contractual issues may go the route of a grievance, while non-contractual issues may be handled via a Meet and Discuss.  The Member-At-Large position also guarantees representation on the executive board for members at all levels.

2008-2009 Members at Large

Kristie Cupples - Elementary

Theresa Flood - Middle School

Carl Rieffanaugh - High School

Building Committees

A crucial committee that must be present in every building is the Building Committee.  Whether or not to have a Building Committee is not an option. The Building Committee is a hard-fought-for EANA right. It is a representative group of faculty members whose responsibility it is to resolve problems before they escalate or are taken further up the line.  For a full description of the duties and procedures associated with a building committee, click here.

If your building has not yet formed a Building Committee and you need help to create one, please contact EANA President Lee Speers or any Executive Board member.
